The Restored Order
The Archdiocese of Denver, at the Archbishop’s request, is in the process of restoring the order of the Sacraments of Initiation. These three sacraments have historically been received in this order: Baptism, Confirmation then Holy Eucharist. To read the pastoral letter from Archbishop Aquila, to view videos with in-depth examination of the Restored Order and to review commonly asked questions and answers, visit http://archden.org/saints/. You can also visit the Sacraments page on our website www.sfcparish.org where you will find a link to this information. The Restored Order will be implemented here at SFC in the fall of 2017 and details about how this will be done will be released in January, 2016. If you have any questions before that time, feel free to contact any of our Directors of Catechesis:

"The world needs saints. Even as our society becomes more distant from faith and more forgetful of God, it still hungers for joyful witnesses who have been transformed by Christ. At the same time, new generations of Catholics need grace to sustain them in a non-Christian environment. To answer these needs, I have decided to restore the Sacraments of Initiation to their original order, that is, Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. This will make available every sacramental grace the Church has to offer to children who have reached the age of reason."
