Children’s Faith Formation Programs Offered

Our parish-based, PreK/K - 6th Grade Children’s Faith Formation program is designed to partner with our students' parents, as the primary educators of their children, to offer a balance of Catholic catechesis and outreach opportunities. Our program supports the basic fundamentals of our Catholic faith utilizing approved curriculum and activities that integrate doctrine, prayer, morality, and Catholic teaching. In addition to the basic truths of our Catholic faith, our students experience first-hand what it really means to be a people of service...bringing the Catholic faith from our head, to our heart. C.F.F. registration is held annually, beginning in the spring, and continues through mid-August. Please contact the Children’s Faith Formation Office for more details at (303)953-7786 or kthompson@sfcparish.org.

Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) for 3 - 6 year olds: Children’s Liturgy of the Word is a program in which the Sunday scripture readings are proclaimed and explained on a level appropriate to children 3 to 6 years old, at the 9:15am Sunday Mass, from September through May. Children are invited to gather in front of the Ambo, following the Opening Prayer, and are led out of the sanctuary by a CLOW leader to the Parish Hall, where the readings are proclaimed from the Children’s Lectionary. Children will participate in the movements and responses specific to the Liturgy of the Word, and listen to an age-appropriate reflection on the Gospel reading. Children will be led back into the sanctuary, during the Offertory, to be reunited with their family in the pew. Any child 3 – 6 years of age may participate in CLOW - no registration is necessary.

Elementary Grades 1st - 5th: Classes are offered Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday from 4:15 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., and Monday evening 6:30 p.m. - 7:45 p.m., September – May.

FOUNDATIONS-6th Grade Ongoing Faith Formation: 6th Grade Foundations will return to the study of Salvation History and the areas of our Catholic faith that engage and excite the youthful spirit of our students (i.e. Eucharistic Miracles, Incorruptible Saints, Mysteries of the Rosary, etc.).
