CCC 1285 Baptism, the Eucharist, and the sacrament of Confirmation together constitute the “sacraments of Christian initiation,” whose unity must be safeguarded. It must be explained to the faithful that the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. For by the sacrament of Confirmation, [the baptized] are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed.

How to Sign-Up

Confirmation is open to teens in grades 9-12 and features an opening session for candidates and parents in September, a candidates and sponsors session in October, six monthly “Super Sundays”, monthly small group home meetings, a mandatory weekend retreat in April and a Penance Service just prior to receiving the Sacrament in May.

Confirmation registration packets have been mailed to all registered parishioners who will be in 9th grade in 2016-2017. If your son or daughter will be in grades 10-12 and would like to prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation, please request a packet by emailing the Youth Office at
